ASPEN LEAF
The aspen tree is found in the higher altitudes of the mountain west and grows in clonal colonies. It's root system may live up to one thousand years and individual trees up to 150 years. It's leaves turn to beautiful golden yellows and reds in fall and cover the forest floor by mid-October with their sweet, earthy fragrance.
The aspen leaves are all original, hand-made leaves, so no two are ever exactly alike. They are cut from sheet metal, painted in acrylic, then sealed in a polyurethene resin for durability and gloss. Each leaf measures approximately 1 1/2" x 2". They are available as a pin or a pendant, which includes an 18" link chain. Longer chains are available upon request.

The oak tree is native to the northern hemispheres of the world, including North America. It's leaves are spirally arranged....some with smooth edges....others are serrated. Oak trees produce a fruit, the acorn, which contains one seed that may take anywhere from 6-18 months to mature. One species of oak, the live oak, can live for hundreds of years. Many antebellum plantations in the South still have thriving oaks that were planted as far back as the 1700's.
